Meal Planning: Recipe Ideas To Get You Started
How often do you come home at the end of a long day of work and kids after school activities, and realize that you have nothing planned for dinner? Or maybe you had a plan, but now you’re just too exhausted to think about standing in the kitchen to put it all together?
Planning out some weekly recipes in advance is a great way to get started with meal prepping, and can be such a lifesaver at the end of a hectic day. I want to share with you a few of my favorites and maybe spark some ideas for things that you can prepare in advance to save yourself a lot of time and stress during the week.
Jamaican Jerk Grilled Chicken
This recipe is a super flavorful recipe that can be used in so many different ways. I always have some kind of grilled chicken on hand and ready to go. You can use it in salads or just have it will an easy side dish as a quick healthy meal.
Healthy Turkey Chili
Chili is one of my favorite things when the weather cools off, and this healthy turkey chili is a perfect blend of lean protein and healthy carbs and fats.
Beef and Broccoli
This is a great simple stir-fry that you can have prepped before hand, or just have the ingredients ready to go and throw it together on the spot. You can also sub in chicken or even shrimp if you prefer not to eat red meat.

This recipe is another stir-fry type of recipe, and it’s super versatile to meet any dietary needs. You can definitely modify this one to meet your personal preference.
Chili Lime Chicken Tacos With Grilled Pineapple Salsa
Tacos are something you don’t normally think of when it comes to healthy eating. This recipe is a little more involved, but you can modify this one as well to meet your preferences or needs. If you have the meat prepped ahead of time and have the other ingredients on hand, it’s a quick and easy throw together meal so that you’re not spending a lot of time in the kitchen to get it ready to go.
